ABOUT ME, THE OWNER OF THE MOTHER AND FATHER:
For 30 years my family had and owned Shih Tzu dogs, they all have one right now or 2 or 3. When I wanted a dog for my kids, I wanted to go outside the Shih Tzu breed, after doing my research and visiting many reputable puppy breeders, I found we wanted to purchase a Havanese. We love our "misty" and all her special ways. We have done everything with her, and happy to see she is easily trainable, potty trained after only 1 year of being consistent with her and lots of love. My daughter is going to be a veternarian so after years of bugging to breed, I decided to do some research and breed Misty, but with a pure bred Shih Tzu. After research, talking to breeders, knowing that the designer breed "Hava Tzu" exists and is really great for city environments (and country) but urban living definitely. Our baby Misty in April was bred with a purebred Shih Tzu Father Dog, (hotrod) a champion bloodline Shih Tzu (all this really means to us as a family is that we know his history, although he is AKC registered and has never had any medical issues, I am not sure champion means anything anymore) He is owned by my sister and she agreed to allow us to breed for what is called a "designer breed Hava Tzu" sometimes called "Havashu". THis is a equal purebred mix of Havanese and Shih Tzu. Misty, the mother is 3 years old and has never had one issue medically and the same with the father, Hotrod. We love them so much, we mated in April, Misty had 5 super healthy puppies on June 1, xxxx. I am being very picky who gets these family friendly and loving puppies they have such wonder personalities, soft fur and healthy weight and are currently 6-7 weeks old. We just started to actually market them to targeted people and areas. They are raised in our home with love and kisses from day 1. We are located in Fredericksburg, VA

The Hava-tzu likes to alert you when people come to the door and will occasionally bark when playing. They need to run and play inside or outside a couple of times each day. This will keep them happy as they love playing.
Official Breed Description: The Havashu is a small cross breed known for being alert, cheerful, intelligent, loving, loyal, playful, responsive, and social. It is the cross of the Havanese and Shih Tzu. The most common colors for Havashus are black, brown, gray, silver, and white. To keep it healthy, it will need to get exercise regularly. The Havashu commonly participates in agility and competitive obedience.
